Frequently Asked Questions
What types of fabrics do you use?
Polartec® Alpha Direct™, MicroFleece, PowerDry™, ThermalPro™ and Teijin Octa®.
What are the differences?
Polartec® Alpha Direct™ is an innovative active insulation designed to adapt to changing conditions by effectively regulating heat and moisture. Originally developed for the US Special Forces to handle the stop-and-go conditions of active combat effortlessly, Polartec® Alpha Direct™ is available in various lightweight compositions and can be worn as a direct, next-to-skin fabric. By keeping you warm when needed and releasing excess heat during high-exertion activities, it is ideal for outdoor activities.
Polartec® MicroFleece is the industry standard for performance fleece, offering the perfect combination of warmth without bulk. This original, soft synthetic knit is incredibly lightweight and comfortable, providing long-lasting durability. It expertly regulates your temperature, efficiently trapping heat when you need it and allowing it to escape when you don't.
Polartec® PowerDry™ is an all-weather base layer, built to quickly wick moisture away from skin to outer layers during activity. A highly breathable and fast-drying fabric, this lightweight bi-component knit material is comfortable next-to-skin, preventing saturation and regulating temperature with efficient moisture management technology.
Polartec® ThermalPro™ is a premium, shearling-style fleece fabric that redefines and enhances traditional sherpa fleece with innovative knit structures. It offers superior warmth retention, breathability, and durability, making it a versatile choice for various styles and applications.
Teijin Octa® redefines the outdoor experience. This innovative fabric is engineered with distinctive hollow, gear-shaped fibers that deliver an unmatched blend of structural integrity and weightlessness. Beyond its ultra-light feel, Octa® excels at moisture-wicking, maintaining warmth even when wet. Its advanced design ensures durability, superior breathability, and reliable thermal regulation, keeping you comfortably warm against any element.
